In March 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of staying in a cottage in Ballycastle, County Mayo, and having access to a studio at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation for over two weeks as part of their Student Artist Award that I was awarded on completion of my ATU Sligo BA(Hons) in Fine Art.
This rare opportunity gave me a chance to interact with some wonderful Ballinglen Fellows of residence, explore this breathtaking wild place right by the Atlantic Ocean, and begin a body of work for my upcoming solo exhibition in the Ballinglen Gallery, set to open on the 30th of January 2026.
I spent a lot of time beachcombing and found some interesting materials for inclusion in future projects.
